In line with our ongoing partnership with Sussex Cricket, we were both keen to build upon the experience, understanding, and feedback of the previous site developed over four years ago.

We needed to retain all that was good with the existing site but take into consideration how fans engaged with the site, technological advances, and simplifying the user journey to maintain a high level of engagement.

At the forefront of our planning was the Match Day Centre. This had become a core function on match days, giving fans a single access point for anything related to the match day experience, including a live feed, team sheets, scores, and audio links.

Leading with the latest news on the homepage was also a fundamental step change. Following fan forums, we understood that it was vital for them to find the latest news, fixtures, and ticket information quickly. These are now clearly highlighted in the streamlined main navigation supported by a mega menu for the remaining content.

It’s been a great journey so far and one that we will continually review and evolve as a team. There are plenty of other features that we will be launching ahead of the 2024 season, so watch this space!
